An observation system that combines a rain gauge, a water level gauge, and a still image monitoring camera.
This is our in-house developed "IoT Rain Gauge" system. The IoT rain observation system transmits rain data counted by the tipping bucket rain gauge to the IoT platform at regular intervals using a dedicated IoT wireless protocol. It is useful for local crisis management by enabling pinpoint monitoring of short-duration rainfall that cannot be detected by weather forecast data or official observation data, measuring water levels inside and outside small river gates, and capturing still images for situation confirmation.
